Day 9: Cultivating Creativity with Elida Field

Welcome to Day 9 Everyone!

I'm excited to share today's interview with you because I know you are going to get energized by our guest!  She has about the most energy of anyone around and I'm hoping it'll rub off on me!

Elisa Field is a professional artist and TV personality for AM Northwest. She also teaches Art-Women-Wine classes, Art VanGo classes for kids, and leads artistic tours to Italy, Greece, Santa Fe and beyond.

I hope you love the convo, Elida shows us how we take pockets of time {even at the tire shop waiting for new tires} to fit in the things we desire to do!  So thanks for that Elida!  You all get two videos from this one, thanks to a little battery issue ;)  Enjoy!

How is this challenge going for you??! Are you getting inspired to fit some Creativity in? Are you Cultivating areas in your life that you didn't think could be creative?? I'd love to see your pics #cultivatingcreativity and in the comments below!

My tips and ideas for you today:

Elida is a retreat hostess as am I, and we both understand that sometimes just getting away from your Day to Day will not only give you the time to create and unwind, become refreshed, but it will also carry through when you get home. It doesn't end when your retreat ends.

So if you start planning now think about a time in the near or far future that you can set aside a weekend or even just a day to take a class or attend a retreat. I'd love you to come see me at Handmade U this fall! Sept 8-10 we have our next Semester, and the Fall at the Homestead is amazing. The apples will be ready for picking! Sign up HERE.

If you want a European Adventure check out Elida's website or blog and get the details on her trip to Italy!! Oh how fun would that be with Elida and Father Bruno?? Bring me back a bottle of wine if you go!!

And if a retreat is out of the budget right now, check your local craft or art shops to see if they have any classes some evening or afternoon. Sometimes the Dick Blicks in Omaha hosts free artist demo's that are inspiring. You are able to watch an artist work in a medium perhaps you haven't used before.

Also my last suggestion on learning new things is look for online courses that speak to you, OR Youtube videos! I have my own Handmade U channel HERE. There is so much out there online you won't be for loss of ideas!

Cheers!
Rach
